Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Voxa. By downloading or using the application, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Service Description

Voxa is an AI-powered dictation application for macOS. The service converts spoken audio to text using third-party AI transcription APIs (Groq, Together AI, and Deepgram) and injects the resulting text into the active cursor position on your computer.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Voxa. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

3. Credits and Billing

Voxa operates on a pay-as-you-go credit model. Credits are purchased in advance and deducted based on dictation usage. Key billing terms:

  • Credits are denominated in minutes of Standard dictation time.
  • Unused credits do not expire unless otherwise stated.
  • Monthly spending is capped at $10 CAD per calendar month for Standard dictation. Once this threshold is reached, Standard dictation continues without further deductions until the next calendar month.
  • All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, who handles applicable taxes and payment processing.
  • Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer protection law.

4. Pricing Changes

Voxa reserves the right to modify pricing, credit packages, burn rates, or monthly caps at any time without notice. Changes will not retroactively affect credits already purchased.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Voxa to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Record or transcribe conversations without the knowledge or consent of all parties involved.
  • Attempt to circumvent credit deductions or abuse the service.
  • Use the service to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of Voxa is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Audio recordings are transmitted to Groq, Together AI, or Deepgram for processing and are not stored by Voxa. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Service Availability

Voxa depends on third-party APIs (Groq, Together AI, Deepgram, Supabase, Paddle). We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by these third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Voxa and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at hello@getvoxa.app. Remaining credits at the time of cancellation are non-refundable except as required by law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the application. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
